  1. The slide on the currency was a great addition to the presentation. I found that the most interesting because I just assumed that all the colonies used the same currency. Guess not!

  2. I liked the slide about the currency. None of the other presentations had something like this and I thought it was pretty cool.

  3. I found it interesting that New Jersey wasn't overly concerned about government in the early years - and more concerned about farming...it seemed like many of these places were focused mostly on government because they were just "getting started"

  5. I thought that overall this was an informative power point. I did not really know anything about colonial New Jersey so it made it really interesting to hear about.

  7. I thought the currency added a really cool element to the power point. I never even thought about incorporating something like that! I didn't even realize that they used actual paper money back then so it was really cool to actually see what it looked like.

  8. I thought it was interesting that the settlers in New Jersey got along well with the Native Americans. It seems to me like that was a rare thing for back then as the Native Americans seemed to resist the settlers in many areas.

  9. I thought the currency slide was a great touch to the presentation. It was something not every colony had and really made the presentation stand out. Most textbooks only explain the use of gold as currency at that time so I found it cool there was actually paper money around.

  10. "The Garden State." I'm glad I learned why it is considered that. Interesting.

  11. I thought this was a creative and informative presentation. The fact New Jersey had good relations with the Indians was unusual and unique about the colony. Also, the responsibilities of colonial women was interesting to learn about.

  12. I really liked the currency slide. I had no idea they had different money--this was an interesting fact.

  13. I found it very interesting how New Jersey focused more on the farming aspect when they were first getting settled rather than setting up a government. Most places would focus on the government so it was interesting to see the difference.

  14. I did not know horse racing was one of the only sports that was around during colonial times. I would have thought at least some of the sports played today would have existed, at least in some form, in colonial times.
