  4. I always knew children worked at a young age back then, but I didn't realize they could work as young as 7 years old. I found that interesting.

  5. I didn't really know how big families were and what hardships they went through, dealing with the death of children so frequently but I found it interesting that you incorporated this into your presentation.

  10. I found it really helpful and interesting to know all of the social factors of colonial Maryland as opposed to just the historical facts and dates. I really feel like I know the essence of colonial Maryland because of this presentation.

  11. I thought it was interesting that although Maryland was originally established to be accepting of Roman Catholics, the religion was later discouraged and even today there is not a large Roman Catholic presence.

  12. I found it really interesting how the group incorporated education and family life in the presentation. I didn't realize how young children started working and how important education was in Maryland until the presentation.

  17. I always feel that we learn about what the adults in the colonies did, so it was a nice change to read about the families and the children and what they had to go through. The part about the development of education was interesting as well.
